Breaking Bad is an American crime drama television series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. Set and produced in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Breaking Bad is the story of Walter White, a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine, in order to secure his family's financial future before he dies, teaming with his former student, Jesse Pinkman. Heavily serialized, the series is known for positioning its characters in seemingly inextricable corners and has been labeled a contemporary western by its creator.

  1. I think 18 is the minimum!! Breaking Bad is probably one of the darkest shows I’ve watched in a long time. I actually watched one of the episodes with a group of friends – if you can make a group of 30+ year olds gasp in shock, I’d say that it’s something you want to keep away from youngsters. Even 18 is pushing it!

  2. I agree! This show has waaaay too much adult content throughout. I might even have reservations about an 18 year old watching it in my home.

  3. I’d totally agree with 17 or 18+. It’s the kind of show I don’t see anyone under that age watching. It’s got a lot of violence and focuses on drugs quite a bit, so it’s clear as day this show is not for anyone under 17 or even 18.
